Whoops.
That board is a french cleat that used to hold up a fairly substantial set of cabinets. My wife wanted them moved to a different location. I’m not sure she appreciates the fine bit of drywall customization left behind when my son and I used the wall as a temporary support. To be fair, it was either the wall or the aquarium. I think I chose wisely.
